Singing kid songs

My kids were singing some silly songs today....

I said, "what in the world are you singing?"
"Oh, don't worry about it mom...you'll learn about it later in life!"
...followed by lots of giggles and laughter...

Tournament Game Time

Today both kids had ball games....daughter was playing in volleyball tournaments...son was playing football game...they were discussing their positions and game times....all of a sudden son asked sister...

"What time does your 2:00 game start?

Motor Mouth

"You know what the teacher calls us when we talk alot?"
"A motor mouth!"

Talker vs. Singer

Our kids have begun practicing Christmas songs for their musical at church...

"Son, how was practice tonight?"
"Not bad, mom. We're still listening to the songs and I think we're going to start picking parks in a couple of weeks."
"Are you doing a solo this year?"
"No, I don't think so.  There are a couple of talking parts and I think I need to be a "talker" rather than a "singer"....I'm a whole lot better at talking!"

1st Game Football Season

Son talking with his papaw (grandfather)...

"Son, what position do you play?"
"I play 'left sideline'!"

Before the game...

"Mom, if we loose, will you take me to LP (Mexican Restaurant) to cheer me up and if we win I want you to take me to LP to celebrate!....Either way I win!"

 

Class Presentation

Son had to take his favorite stuffed animal and write a presentation to present to his classmates...he took a stuffed monkey to class....

"Son, how did your presentation go today school?"
"It was fun!"
"Oh really! What did you do?"
"Well, I took my monkey to the front of the class and sat him on a stool for everyone to look at.  Then I read my presentation (5 sentences).  Then, after my presentation, I took the arms of my monkey and made it look like it was bowing to everyone and I said Thank you, Thank you very much...like Elvis would!"

School Fund Raiser

"Mom, if you'll let me have $1,000 to take to school for our fund raiser, I'll get a whole bunch of cool prizes for bringing the most money in!  Will you PLEEEEEASE let me give them $1,000?"

Rock Star

"If I was a rock star, I would have a pointed tongue and if I were to stick it out it would be down past my chin!"

Tired

After going to school all day and 2.5 hrs of football practice...

"I'm sooo tired tonight....I'm GLAD to go to bed!"

A Day or a Week

"Whew, today sure has been a LONG WEEK!"

Fat Albert

"This would be a perfect Sunday afternoon if we could just watch Fat Albert!"

Hiker

"Mom, I think I'm going to be the best hiker ever!"
"What are you talking about?...You've never been hiking a day in your life!"
"Oh mama, you're so silly...I'm talking about football...you know..."ready, set, hike!"  DUH!!
